All material content on this site, and others sharing the main address,, including videos, graphics, texts, images, drawings, music or sounds and any other information is the property of the Instituto Hidrográfico or have been included with permission of the entities that legitimately hold the copyright the same. The user l is allowed to make copies of the information contained into the hard disk of his personal computer or distribute this information to others, for private use but not for commercial use. The alteration or deletion of references to the Portuguese Navy, and other entities referred to therein as holders of exclusive rights to the contents is not allowed. The protection of copyright and industrial property on the contents of this portal extends to all copies of part or all of the information contained therein.

Privacy Statement

In accordance with article 35 of the CRP and Law no. 67/98 of 26 October, the information gathered on visitors to the site is of a personal nature, so the Instituto Hidrográfico ensures the confidentiality of the visitor's identity. User will be identified whenever they commit illegal acts inside the site, or when requested by judicial decision. The Portuguese Navy undertakes to take all necessary measures to avoid loss, misuse, or alteration of information received from citizens. In the case of a user/visitor sending a message to the site, its address will not be registered or disclosed, except if it is requested by court decision.
