MAINTENANCE AND DEVELOPMENT

Manutenção corretiva e preventiva a sistemas, equipamentos e instrumentos técnico-científicos, conforme recomendações dos diversos fabricantes, realizadas segundo planos de manutenção em vigor, bem como o desenvolvimento de sistemas, equipamentos e instrumentos técnico-científicos necessários à atividade do IH:

• Hydrography: Single and multibeam sounders / positioning systems / whole stations and radios;
• Oceanography: Meteorological equipment and meteorological stations / tidal stations and equipment / buoys and wave stations / acoustic releasers / current meters / Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) / Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter (ADV);
• Marine Geology: Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) / acoustic positioning / light seismic systems / lateral sonars / magnetometers / winches.

OPERATION

• Planning, coordination and execution of training and training within the scope of maintenance and operation, in conjunction with the School of Hydrography and Oceanography (EHO) and the divisions of the Technical Directorate;
• Technical collaboration in the operation of systems, equipment and technical-scientific instruments, in field and sea work by IH or other entities.

These services are carried out at the Maritime Instrumentation Center.
