WEBINAR Coastal Engineering in Portugal and the World

On May 19, 2023, the third webinar organized by the young professionals of PIANC took place, aiming to bring together and connect Portuguese professionals working in Portugal and abroad. This edition focused on the topics of "Ocean Energy: offshore, wave, and tidal energy" and "Coastal Zone Management".

The event featured 11 excellent speakers who shared their professional experiences, and a total of 286 participants from 28 different countries representing various fields of Coastal and Port Engineering: designers, consultants, contractors, researchers, port authorities, coastal management officials, among many other areas.

The session is available on the Instituto Hidrográfico's YouTube channel, and the presented Coastal Engineering Professionals Network in Portugal and the World is available on the PIANC Portugal website, where all the information about the event (speakers and presentations) can also be found.

The event was organized in collaboration with the Instituto Hidrográfico and was part of the celebrations of the Navy Day.

The next edition is scheduled for May 2024 and will be dedicated to the theme that received the most votes at the end of the session: "Numerical Modeling: oceans, coasts, and estuaries."
