Visit of a group of representatives from the Federal University of Pernambuco
Last March 14, the Hydrographic Institute (IH) received the visit of a group of representatives from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), in Brazil. The delegation included the Vice-Rector of UFPE, Professor Moacyr Araújo, the Pro-Rectors for the areas of Post-Graduation and Research and Innovation, respectively Professors Carol Leandro and Pedro Carelli, and the Directors for the areas of International Relations and Lato Sensu Post-Graduation, respectively Professors Madson Gois and Juliano Iyoda.
The visit to the IH was part of the tour of several Portuguese research and university institutions that the delegation conducted between March 5 and 15, aiming to identify potential partnerships and collaborations. Both the UFPE and the IH are entities that contribute to joint initiatives under the European project AANCHOR (cooperation in the Atlantic), so the UFPE had for some time been interested in visiting the IH in order to deepen mutual understanding of the areas of activity and capabilities of the two institutions and identify possible synergies and future collaborations - a goal fully achieved.
