Swearing in of the position of Director General of the IH

On January 28, 2022, the inauguration ceremony of the position of Director-General of the Hydrographic Institute (IH) took place.

In this ceremony, presided over by the Chief of Staff of the Navy and National Maritime Authority, Admiral Gouveia e Melo, and which was attended by representatives of similar military and civil entities, the Vice-Admiral Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Navy and the general officers who head the various sectors of the Navy, as well as the military and civilians who serve in the IH, Rear Admiral Simões Marques took office, replacing Vice Admiral Ventura Soares.
