Ana Storm registered by IH's network of meteo-oceanographic buoys

The storm Ana, felt in Portugal, since last night, was recorded by the network of meteo-oceanographic buoys of the Hydrographic Institute.

Since 18:00h, of yesterday, there was a worsening state of the sea, with a maximum significant height (Hm0) of 8.7 m (04:00) and maximum height (Hmax) of 13.2 m at 11:00, registered by the Leixões oceanic buoy. There were also values of maximum significant height of 7.3 m (13:00 of 12-17-10) and maximum height of 14.1 m at 09:00 (12-17-11), registered by the oceanic Nazaré buoy.

Regarding the measured atmospheric parameters, it was recorded, at 00:00 today, in the Leixões oceanic buoy a minimum atmospheric pressure of 992 hPa and, measured in the Nazaré oceanic buoy, a maximum wind speed of 89km / h.
