Seventh Conference on Hydrographic Engineering and Second Portuguese-Spanish Conference on Hydrography

The seventh Hydrographic Engineering Conference and the second Luso-Spanish Hydrographic Conference started yesterday at the Hydrographic Institute. Until next Thursday, June 23, will be presented 88 papers, prepared by 271 authors of eleven nationalities and belonging to 24 institutions, related to the sciences and techniques of the sea. 

The discussion of topics such as hydrography, cartography, oceanography, marine geology, marine chemistry and pollution, marine technologies, navigation safety and space data infrastructures, intends to be a contribution to enhance knowledge and sustainable development from the sea, always against the backdrop of a blue future that helps preserve the planet. 

With the realization of the Days on these dates is also intended to evoke the World Day of Hydrography, established by the International Hydrographic Organization and that this year's theme is "Hydrography - contributing to the United Nations Ocean Decade.
