EMODnet network launches a new web portal

The EMODnet network (European Marine Observation and Data Network) launched earlier this year its new Central Data Portal for the Marine Environment (EMODnet Central Portal – emodnet.ec.europa.eu). The new web portal aggregates and interconnects information that was previously dispersed across the seven thematic portals that make up the network, in addition to improving a large set of functionalities.

The Hydrographic Institute, as a partner of the network in the thematic areas of Bathymetry, Physics and Chemistry, as well as nationally responsible for validating data from national institutions through the EMODnet Ingestion program, congratulates all partners for yet another step forward in the dissemination and availability of marine data and services to the community.

In addition to the EMODnet Central Portal, users can also consult more detailed information for national maritime areas on the Hidrografo+ portal (geomar.hidrgrafico.pt).
