PESCO visits the Hydrographic Institute
The Hydrographic Institute received yesterday, November 22, the visit of representatives of the countries that are part of the PESCO project (Permanent Structured Cooperation) “GeoMETOC Support Coordination Element (GMSCE)”.
PESCO's main function is to deepen cooperation in defense matters between member states. PESCO combines cooperative defense projects and binding commitments from its 25 participating member states.
This visit to the Hydrographic Institute took place following the eighth meeting of the steering board of the GMSCE project, which the Portuguese Navy is hosting. The project is led by Germany and of which Portugal is part.
