New Digital Format of the List of Lights

The Hydrographic Institute now offers, free of charge and in a new digital format, the List of Lights, Buoys, Beacons, and Fog Signals - VOLUME I - PORTUGAL. This document is a Nautical Publication containing information on Navigational Aids, intended for general maritime navigation, comprising the following volumes:

• VOLUME I - Portugal
• VOLUME II - Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe, Angola, and Mozambique
• VOLUME III - Cape Verde

VOLUME I - PORTUGAL covers the entire national territory (Mainland Portugal, the Azores Archipelago, and the Madeira Archipelago). This publication is compiled and updated by the Hydrographic Institute in accordance with the Technical Resolutions of the International Hydrographic Organization, the regulations of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation, and current national legislation. It contains information that is updated monthly by the Notices to Mariners Group, specifically regarding the visual and audible signaling along the Portuguese coast and within the ports of Portugal, as well as Spanish signaling that may be used in the maritime areas covered by this list.
