Hydrographic Survey in Golada do Bugio

The Hydrographic Brigade completed, on January 31, 2022, the Hydrographic Survey in Golada do Bugio. The survey took 67 hours of navigation and a distance covered over 239km profiles, aboard the Trinas sounding vessel equipped with a single beam sounder system.

This work is part of the inter-administrative contract signed between the Administration of the Port of Lisbon, S.A (APL) and the Hydrographic Institute and aims to obtain updated hydrographic information.

This hydrographic survey is carried out periodically in an area of great complexity due to the elements: meteorological and oceanographic conditions (metoc), river current, tidal current, wide range of depths, with many port works and shoals with surf.

The information collected in this campaign will be used for cartographic updating.
