Launch of the "Leonor" Glider
The "Leonor" glider was successfully launched on June 5th, south of Sesimbra, in the Setúbal canyon, with the support of the naval means of the Sesimbra Lifesaving Institute, for its first mission of tests and pilot training.
Like its counterpart "Caldas", it will undertake a two-week mission southwest of Cabo Espichel, collecting data on temperature, salinity, turbidity, chlorophyll-a, and dissolved oxygen between the surface and 1000 meters depth.
