Hydrographic Institute receives a visit from Senior University of S. Brás de Alportel

On May 14th, the Hydrographic Institute (IH) received the visit of a group of students from the S. Brás de Alportel Senior University, accompanied by the Professor of the "Earth Sciences" Discipline, CMG REF Martins Lourenço, by the President of the Parish Council, João Fialho Rosa, by the Coordinator, Dr. Ercília Gonçalves, and some professors from this institution.

After attending the institutional film about the activity of the Hydrographic Institute, the group visited the divisions of the Technical Direction - Navigation, Oceanography, Hydrography, Marine Geology and Marine Chemistry and Pollution, in order to deepen their knowledge about the mission and the potential of HI in the areas of marine science and technology.

In the end, the group, accompanied by Mr. José Aguiar, also visited the historical spaces of the Convent of Trinas de Mocambo, to learn about the historical and cultural heritage that the IH occupies.
