Hydrographic Institute participates in the Portuguese Coastal and Port Engineering Conference
The Hydrographic Institute participated in the 11th edition of the Portuguese Coastal and Port Engineering Conference, organized by PIANC Portugal, which took place on October 3rd and 4th, 2023, at the Leixões cruise terminal.
The conference was a high-quality event aimed at sharing best practices in the implementation of engineering projects and maritime works. It also served as a privileged forum for the exchange of products and services aimed at improving maritime navigation safety.
The Hydrographic Institute participated in the conference with three presentations to showcase the Institute's activities:
- The Standard S-100 (Universal Hydrographic Data Model) presented by Commander Isabel Bué from the Navigation Division.
- Volume Calculation – Assessment of methods and tools presented by Engineer Leonor Veiga from the Hydrography Division.
- The Universal Hydrographic Model S-100: Hydrographic information and the digitization of the Ocean presented by Commander Antunes Nunes from the Technical-Scientific Data Management Center.
