Instituto Hidrográfico participated in the EURAMET meeting.
The Hydrographic Institute (IH), through the Division of Chemistry and Marine Environment Pollution, participated in the 18th Meeting of the EURAMET Working Group - Technical Committee for Quality (TC-Q), which took place during the month of March at the Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) in Bern. The IH's Quality Management System (QMS) report was prepared and presented orally, and it was approved by the permanent members of the TC-Q Technical Committee and recognized by the CIPM-MRA as a Designated Institute.
These meetings occur annually and allow for the exchange of knowledge and implementation of best practices in the area of ISO 17025 and its implementation in National Metrology Institutes (NMI) and Designated Institutes (DIs).
The NMIs and DIs must periodically prepare a report and an oral presentation of their Quality Management System (QMS), which is sent to the TC-Q Technical Committee and evaluated by them. During the meetings, oral presentations are made regarding the QMS, and if they meet the requirements of EURAMET, the laboratory is recognized by the Mutual Recognition Arrangement of the International Committee of Weights and Measures (CIPM MRA).
