Hydrographic Institute celebrates its 57th anniversary

The Hydrographic Institute (IH) celebrated its 57th anniversary on September 22, 2017. The ceremony took place in the premises of this institute, where it was attended by distinguished guests, military, militarized and civilians who serve in this institute.

To mark this date, the Hydrographic Institute was attended by Dr. Mário Ferreira, President of the Board of Directors of Douro Azul, to give a lecture on hydrography and navigation safety for the economic development of waterways. Commander Santos Teles, Head of the Navigation Division of the IH, presented the work carried out by the IH, on the waterway of the Douro.

The Day of Unity ended with the delivery of souvenirs to employees who completed 15, 25, 35, 45 and 50 years in the service of this institute and a convivial lunch, which contributed to the reinforcement of the cohesion among all those who carry out their activity in this organ the Navy and State Laboratory.
