Beginning of the 2021/22 Specialization Course in Hydrography
On September 6, 2021, the Specialization Course for Officers in Hydrography (ENH03) began, edition 2021/2022, in accordance with the Navy Training Activities Plan (PAFM I 2021). This edition is being attended by six officers of the Portuguese Navy and two civilians outside the Navy, one of Portuguese nationality and the other of dual nationality (Brazilian and Italian).
This course is internationally recognized in accordance with the competency standards corresponding to Category “A”, established by the FIG-IHO-ICA (FIG-International Federation of Geometers, IHO - International Hydrographic Organization and ICA - International Cartographic Association), within the scope of the International Board of Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors and Nautical Cartographers (IBSC).
The patron of this course is King D. Carlos I, a sovereign who stood out, among other areas, in the study and knowledge of the sea, having left a strong mark on the history of oceanography in Portugal.
This course will last for 49 weeks and is expected to end on September 23, 2022.
