Inauguration of the exhibition

As part of a project funded by the European Research Council, an exhibition entitled "What is a nautical chart?" was inaugurated today, May 18, at the Hydrographic Institute (IH).

The inauguration of this exhibition, organized by the Medea-Chart project (Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon), was attended by several personalities, among them the former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Admiral António Silva Ribeiro.

After the inauguration, a guided tour of the exhibition followed, through its commissioner, Comandante Alves Gaspar.

The exhibition will be on display at IH until September, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., subject to appointment via email cultura@hidrografico.pt.
