IH welcomes participants of the Secretariat of the European Forum of Coast Guard Functions meeting

On December 12, 2017, the Hydrographic Institute received a group of participants for the meeting of the Secretariat of the European Forum of Coast Guard Functions (ECGFF) - whose presidency is presently assumed by the German Federal Police, since September 29, 2017, which succeeded the Portuguese Presidency bipartite between the Navy and the National Maritime Authority.

This meeting was attended by members of the national agencies, entities and bodies of the Member States of the European Union and the Schengen Area with Coast Guard functions, as well as European Union agencies involved in the exercise of these functions, in particular FRONTEX ( European Border and Coast Guard Agency ), EMSA ( European Maritime Safety Agency ) and EFCA ( European Fisheries Control Agency ).
