IH accepted as a member of EMN

The Hydrographic Institute (IH) was, on April 5, accepted as a member of the European Metrology Network (EMN) for Climate and Ocean Observation.

The EMN is part of EURAMET (The European Association of National Metrology Institutes) and aims to contribute with new strategies in metrology in the areas of research, infrastructures, knowledge transfer and services, supporting climate and ocean observations.

With this admission, the IH can participate in the EMN meetings and actively influence the topics to be discussed at the meetings; it can include its relevant activities in the EMN work plans and be aligned with the research areas of the various members; it can also publicize its activities on the EMN website.
