Exhibition «Map the Portuguese Sea - Cartography of the Discoveries to the Present»

At the invitation of the Rear Admiral General Director of the Hydrographic Institute, on June 8th 2018, at 1100h, a guided tour of the "Map the Portuguese Sea - Cartography of the Discoveries to the Present" Exhibition was held at the Library of the Hydrographic Institute.

The visit was conducted by our collaborator José Aguiar who, throughout the exhibition, presented the evolution of the art of cartography. He presented the 10 historical charts from the collection of the Navy Museum, the technological equipment associated with hydrographic surveys, the evolution of a port (Figueira da Foz) and examples of Portuguese letters from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries of the seven Portuguese world games.
