NATO Day

Today marks 75 years of NATO. The Hydrographic Institute hosts the first NATO Centre of Excellence on national territory, the NATO Maritime GEOMETOC Centre of Excellence (MGEOMETOC COE), at its facilities.

The mission of the MGEOMETOC COE is to enhance transformation efforts in the field of Maritime GEOMETOC to the benefit of the Alliance. Its concept is to explore the maritime battlefield environment in order to optimize the employment of sensors, weapons, targeting, logistics, equipment, and personnel.

The Hydrographic Institute congratulates the Atlantic Alliance and all its member countries.
