Multibeam Sonar Training course (MB Course)

Instituto Hidrografico will co-host with MBCourse, the MBC80 course in November 2022 in Lisbon.

Details for this multibeam course, are now finalized and registrations are open.

This is a 6-day 36-lecture course is designed to provide a theoretical and practical background in marine swath survey technology and techniques for hydrographic surveys, continental shelf boundary delimitation, offshore engineering, harbour dredging, fisheries habitat, route survey and scientific research.

The course draws from a number of graduate courses that the lecturers deliver at University of New Hampshire (UNH) - EUA and University of New Brunswick (UNB) - Canadá, at Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping (CCOM) and Ocean Mapping Group (OMG), and allows those attendees that do not have the availability or option to attend a longer graduate program to have access to this high level training in a single week.
