Hydrographic Notice
The documentation and nautical information made available to mariners by the Hydrographic Institute (IH) are prepared based on their work, missions, hydrographic surveys, and data provided by maritime authorities.
However, the information provided by mariners in updating this documentation plays a crucial role. Indeed, only mariners can verify any anomalies related to maritime signaling, new constructions that serve as conspicuous points, visual or radar landing features, changes in depths, and even incidents or sightings of marine animals.
In this regard, the Hydrographic Notice serves as the official tool for mariners to report maritime safety information to IH that may be helpful to other mariners or that deviates from the information found in official nautical documents published.
The new format of the Hydrographic Notice has been published as an online form accessible at https://arcg.is/ifrC4 or through the respective QR Code, in a web browser or a mobile application (App Store, Google Play). This update reflects the digitization of the communication process, making it more efficient.
The Hydrographic Institute counts on your cooperation.
