Collaboration between the Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere and the Hydrographic Institute
The sharing of information is crucial in the development of an integrated policy for the sea and coastal areas, with institutional cooperation being an asset for the promotion and evolution of scientific knowledge and technological development. There are mutual benefits in the collaboration between Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere and the Hydrographic Institute, recognizing the goal of improving the performance of their respective specific tasks, exploiting the potential of each, and enhancing the actions of both, serving the country and society.
In this context, this Tuesday, August 13th, a contract was signed between the Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere and the Hydrographic Institute with the aim of conducting hydrographic surveys and remote classification of seabed types off the southern coast of Viana do Castelo, Leixões, and Figueira da Foz.
