Takeover of Chief CMETOC - Ten. Luís Quaresma

On November 17 the First Lieutenant Luis Quaresma dos Santos took charge as chief of the Naval Meteorological and Oceanographic Center.

The ceremony took place in the “Pedro Nunes” Noble Hall at the Hydrographic Institute and was presided by the General Director, Rear Admiral Coelho Cândido.

The new Naval Meteorological and Oceanographic Center enables now a better management and availability of the GEOMETOC information, essential to the planning and conduct of naval warfare as well to the Hydrographic Institute activity.
