Hydrographic Cartography in ePortugal

The Hydrographic Institute (IH) regulates the exercise of Hydrographic Cartography (HC) activities, through the provision of technical specifications for cartography production, the supervision of production activities, the approval of cartographic products and the registration of private entities that produce cartography.

Any entity engaged in activities within the scope of hydrographic mapping production can now submit the respective prior notification to the IH through the ePortugal portal, as provided for in Decree-Law 130/2019, of 30 August.

ePortugal also allows the user to terminate the activity and consult the list of entities that have made a prior notification to the IH.

The services associated with hydrographic cartography are already available on the ePortugal portal.
