Galileo 2018-4th campaign. Release
News of the Campaign Galileo 2018 sent by Lieutenant Ventura da Cruz, official of the Hydrographic Institute:
"On 26 February, Galileo observations were made on Deception Island, near the Spanish Base "Gabriel de Castilla" as well as on the 27th on King George Island, where there are bases of several countries, airport, postal Service, Gimnodesportivos pavilions, Churches, among others.
On February 28th the ship headed back to the Antarctic Peninsula having the team landed on the peninsula the ´ Higgins to carry out more Galileo observations, a place filled with icebergs and varied fauna.
The team that was on land on Deception Island, carried out the hydrographic survey with a simple beam scanner near the landing zone of the Spanish base "Gabriel de Castilla".
