Caminheiros da Portela, Nature Club, visits the IH

Coinciding with International Museum Day, the Hydrographic Institute received on May 18 last a visit from a group organized by the "Caminheiros da Portela, Clube de Natureza", a recreational and cultural association founded in 1993 and based in Loures.

The twenty visitors made the traditional circuit through the visitable dependencies of the old Trinitarian convent, having been able to observe in the current architectural complex the vestiges of past functions and uses. Besides the expressive collection of baroque tiles, the target of general admiration, some emblematic pieces of the technical and scientific collections of the Institute were also appreciated.
