Hydrographic brigade starts top-hydrographic survey of the waterway of the Douro River

The hydrographic brigade began a top-hydrographic survey of the waterway of the Douro River on February 6, 2018, with an expected duration of 29 days.

This work stems from the Institutional Cooperation Agreement between the Institute of Mobility and Transport (IMT), I.P. and the Hydrographic Institute (IH) and will be fundamental for the future project of maritime signaling and for the production of hydrographic cartography of the Douro River.

This mission involves a multidisciplinary team of 7 elements, the Mergulhão riverboat equipped with a multi-beam system, a boat, topographic and tide-reading equipment.
