Assignment of a New Code to the Portuguese Hydrographic Zero

Upon the proposal of the Hydrographic Institute, the EPSG code 10349 has recently been assigned to the ZH Portugal Depth (Vertical CRS).

The Hydrographic Institute recommends using this EPSG for all hydrographic data referenced to the Hydrographic Zero in mainland Portugal and the archipelagos of the Azores and Madeira.

The use of this code now allows for more efficient handling of data, particularly with the correct identification of the vertical reference level to which they are referenced, making it easier for their classification, conversion, and/or transformation between vertical reference systems.
