Oceanic observatory of the Iberian and Galicia-North of Portugal coasts

The Hydrographic Institute continues its activity also in the coastal component, allying itself as partner in projects that develop studies in this area.

The video here presented was obtained during an action on the study component of the coast, integrated in the project, In which the Hydrographic Institute is a partner, RAIA.co - Oceanic observatory of the Iberian and coastal margin, Galicia-North of Portugal. This action took place in September 2015 on the beach of Gelfa, Vila Praia de Âncora.

The ocean observatory comprises the creation of a network for the monitoring and collection of meteorological, oceanographic and biological data.
