Hydrography, more than nautical charts.

The Hydrographic Institute’s carry out Hydrographic and Topographic surveys that are usually related to nautical cartography, although a commercial client service can also be considered.
The activity of hydrography is usually related to nautical charts and publications. However it is a crucial service for many other activities.

This video, published in 2015 by the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities, with the cooperation of the Instituto Hidrográfico de la Marina (Spain) e do Instituto Hidrográfico (Portugal), aims to show the relevance of hydrographic services around the world.
