Visit of the auditors of the Course of Promotion to Senior Officer 2018-2019

As part of the Naval Doctrine curricular unit, the Hydrographic Institute (IH) received, on October 23, 29 officers from the Promotion Course to the Senior Marine Officer (CPOS) 2018-2019, accompanied by the Director of the Course and a teacher of the Specific Teaching Area of ​​the Navy, captain-of-frigate Santos Gonçalves.

The visit began at the Hydrographic Base (BH), in Seixal, where it included a passage through the Center for Marine Instrumentation, Laboratory of Calibration of oceanographic equipment, regarding the calibration and repair of technical-scientific instruments. The visit was also carried out by the Oceanography and Marine Geology depots and by the Hydrographic Brigades, and the work developed in these areas was presented.

At the IH, in Lisbon, after the presentation of greetings, the auditors of the CPOS-M attended the institutional film and a presentation by Captain-Lieutenant Isabel Cruz, Deputy Technical Director, with the aim of providing a better knowledge of the organic structure and the activities developed by this institute. The visit continued through the technical-scientific divisions, the School of Hydrography and Oceanography, and the same ended in the Library where a word of thanks was given to the Director General of IH, Rear Admiral Carlos Ventura Soares.
