Guarded Sea, safe Sea

“Mar vigiado, Mar seguro” (Guarded Sea, safe Sea), this is the title of the book written by Professor Rogério Cação, as part of the dissemination actions of the SAGA project. Executed and distributed in collaboration with FENACERCI - National Federation of Cooperatives for Social Solidarity (CERCI - Cooperatives for the Education and Rehabilitation of Misfit Children), this book tells a little story in which two children, João and Matilde, find the facet of the Navy responsible for Maritime Surveillance.

The SAGA project, which aims to build a tool to support the Maritime Authority in the management of the bars, is financed by the MAR2020 program and brings together four institutions linked to the Ocean: DEIMOS Engenharia, the IPMA-Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere, the Navy through the Hydrographic Institute and the National Maritime Authority, through the General Directorate of the Maritime Authority.
