Hydrographic Institute signs Technical and Scientific Cooperation Protocol with the Port Administration of Aveiro and the Port Administration of Figueira da Foz

On January 4th, a Technical and Scientific Cooperation Protocol was signed between the Hydrographic Institute (IH), the Port Administration of Aveiro (APA, S.A.), and the Port Administration of Figueira da Foz (APFF, S.A.).

This protocol, signed by the Director-General of IH, Rear Admiral Ramalho Marreiros, and the President of the Board of Directors of APA, S.A., and APFF, S.A., aims to promote the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and technical and scientific information. Its main objectives include ensuring safety in navigation, ensuring maritime accessibility, and safeguarding the environment. Additionally, it involves conducting joint training, actions, and research, conservation, and monitoring projects in the fields of hydrography, oceanography, chemistry, marine geology, and hydrographic cartography, based on the principles of equality and reciprocity of benefits.
