EMODnet Ingestion 2 and Safe-keeping of marine data

The EMODnet Data Ingestion 2 project continues the work started with EMODnet Data Ingestion. The main objective is to increase and diversify the open marine data sets available in European infrastructures. Partners contribute to the project through actions to promote proximity and demonstrate the benefit to society resulting from data sharing.

The expected impact is to integrate a coherent and harmonized data set according to data management standards and best practices. The partners, recognized data centers, develop a collaborative work of accompanying the community in the process of preparing and integrating data in the infrastructures through the EMODnet Ingestion portal.

The project contributes to the reuse of information and the blue society and the Marine Knowledge 2020 strategy.
